4 Pork Harmony was created in 2005 by Ellis Young, Jr. to provide the Memphis Tennessee Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society with the opportunity for a week of fellowship, and to help provide a fun tool to recruit potential members into the Memphis Cotton Boll Chorus.

Whether by accident, divine intervention, intentional clandestine calculation, or all three, what he created was one of the most recognized teams at the International Barbecue Cooking Contest.

Moving from 96th place that first year to 14th place in the ribs competition, 4 Pork Harmony has become a world class team. Each year the team serenades the crowds with live performances - sometimes in intimate corners and sometimes on the sidewalk in front of generations of passerbys. We are the barbershopping barbecuers - and we are here to stay.
